It's a sad day for comedy indeed. On the 22 June 2008, the American comedian/actor and author George Carlin passed away. But he certainly left his mark on the world.
Carlin was well known for his politically incorrect jokes and views, along with his anti Christian/religious views. He also caused a lot of controversy with his
Seven Dirty Words you can't say on TV or the radio, even causing him to become arrested.
Carlin began appearing on TV on shows such as "The Ed Sullivan Show", where he would perform some of his most notable routines such as "The Indian Sergeant" and "Stupid disc jockeys"
Right until his death he was still performing and sharing his unique humor with us all, and if you type his name into YouTube you will certainly not miss a single laugh.
It's certainly a sad day when Carlin died of a heart failure at the age of 71. He will be remembered by a lot of people, including myself!
